Activities in 2022
In 2022, the Foundation will be introducing a range of activities to promote research and development in the physical and engineering sciences in medicine, and exploring new ways to provide remote support to our colleagues in low to middle income countries in the Asia-Pacific region due to the current inability of APSIG volunteers to travel overseas to provide on-site support.
Examples of health professional research and development activities we have considered promoting are:
- Webinars on challenging cross-disciplinary topics
- Public talks that promote awareness of our profession
- R&D highlights via newsletters, social media and the Foundation website
- Grants to support R&D engagement of regional and early career professionals
- A multidisciplinary “Winter Retreat” to help bridge the gap between clinics, universities, industry and different professions
- Collaboration with ACPSEM speciality groups and special interest groups
- Collaboration with other professional bodies.

Foundation Donors
To streamline the donation process in future, we would like to ask you to use the donate option on the Better Healthcare Technology Foundation website:
https://www.betterhealthcaretechnology.org/donate-to-foundation/
The Foundation maintains a secure register for all its donors and is limited to recording the name, email address, chosen campaign and amount donated. Receipts are automatically emailed to the donor after payment by on-line banking, Paypal or postal cheque. In 2022 we will also offer annual recurrent donations.
The Foundation aims to build adequate financial support to grow its activities and fulfill its mission to the best of its capabilities. Any help you might like to provide by encouraging your colleagues to donate and also become involved would be very much appreciated.
On behalf of the ACPSEM Foundation, I sincerely thank you for your donations and support over the years and look forward to continuing our journey to support healthcare professionals and their patients.
Yours sincerely
